All Hail the Power of Jesus Name

All hail the power of Jesus' name let angels prostrate fall

Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all

Bring forth the royal diadem and crown Him Lord of all

Oh seed of Israel's chosen race now ransomed from the fall

Hail Him who saves you by His grace and crown him Lord of all

Hail Him who saves you by His grace and crown Him Lord of all

Let every tongue and every tribe responsive to His call

To Him all majesty ascribe and crown Him Lord of all

To Him all majesty ascribe and crown Him Lord of all

Oh that with all the sacred throng we at His feet may fall

We'll join the everlasting song and crown Him Lord of all

We'll join the everlasting song and crown Him Lord of all

Blessed Assurance

Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine

Oh what a foretaste of glory divine

Heir of salvation, purchase of God

Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood

This is my story, this is my song

Praising my Savior all the day long

This is my story, this is my song

Praising my Savior all the day long

Perfect submission, perfect delight

Visions of rapture now burst on my sight

Angels descending bring from above

Echoes of mercy, whispers of love

Perfect submission, all is at rest

I in my Savior am happy and blessed

Watching and waiting, looking above

Filled with His goodness, lost in His love

Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing

Come Thou fount of every blessing, tune my heart to sing Thy grace

Streams of mercy never ceasing call for songs of loudest praise

Teach my some melodious sonnet sung by flaming tongues above

Praise the mount I'm fixed upon it, mount of God's redeeming love

Here I find my greatest treasure, hither by Thy help I come

And I hope by Thy good pleasure, safely to arrive at home

Jesus sought me when a stranger, wandering from the fold of God

He to rescue me from danger, bought me with His precious blood

Oh to grace how great a debtor daily I'm constrained to be

Let Thy goodness like a fetter bind my wandering heart to Thee

Prone to wander Lord I feel it, prone to leave the God I love

Here's my heart, oh take and seal it, seal it for Thy courts above

Daniel 6:26b-27 (NLT)

"For he is the living God,
    and he will endure forever.
His kingdom will never be destroyed,
and his rule will never end.

He rescues and saves his people;
he performs miraculous signs and wonders
in the heavens and on earth.
He has rescued Daniel
from the power of the lions.”

Ephesians 1:3-6 (NLT)

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son.

Father of Mercies in Your Word

Father of mercies in Your Word

When endless glory shines

Forever be Your name adored

For these celestial lines

Here may the wretched sons of want

Exhaustless riches find

Riches above what earth can grant

And lasting as the mind

Oh may these heavenly pages be

My ever dear delight

And still new beauties may I see

And still increasing light

Divine Instructor, gracious Lord

Oh be forever near

Teach me to love your sacred Word

And view my Savior there

Guide Me, Oh Thou Great Jehovah

Guide me oh Thou great Jehovah, pilgrim through this barren land

I am weak, but Thou art mighty, hold me with Thy powerful hand

Bread of heaven, bread of heaven

Feed me til I want no more, feed me til I want no more

Open now the crystal fountain, whence the healing stream doth flow

Let the fire and cloudy pillar lead me all my journey through

Strong deliverer, strong deliverer

Be Thou still my strength and shield, be Thou still my strength and shield

When I tread the verge of Jordan, bid my anxious fear subside

Death of death and hell's destruction, land me safe on Canaan's side

Songs of praises, songs of praises

I will ever give to Thee, I will ever give to Thee

How Firm a Foundation

How firm a foundation ye saints of the Lord

Is laid for your faith in God's excellent Word

What more can be said than to you God has said

To you who for refuge to Jesus have fled

Fear not I am with thee oh be not dismayed

For I am thy God and will still give thee aid

I'll strengthen thee, help thee, and cause thee to stand

Upheld by my righteous, omnipotent hand

When through the deep waters I call thee to go

The rivers of sorrow shall not overflow

For I will be with thee thy troubles to bless

And sanctify to thee thy deepest distress

When through fiery trials thy pathway shall lie

My grace all sufficient shall be thy supply

The flame shall not hurt thee I only design

Thy dross to consume and thy gold to refine

The soul that on Jesus hath leaned for repose

I will not, I will not desert to its foes

That soul though all hell should endeavor to shake

I'll never, no never, no never forsake

I Need Thee Every Hour

I need Thee every hour most gracious Lord

No tender voice like Thine can peace afford

I need Thee, oh I need Thee, every hour I need Thee

Oh bless me now my Savior, I come to Thee

I need Thee every hour stay thou nearby

Temptations lose their power when Thou art nigh

I need Thee every hour in joy or pain

Come quickly and abide or life is vain

I need Thee every hour most Holy One

Oh make me Thine indeed, Thou blessed Son

Jonah 2:1-10 (NLT)

Then Jonah prayed to the Lord his God from inside the fish. He said,

“I cried out to the Lord in my great trouble,
    and he answered me.
I called to you from the land of the dead,
    and Lord, you heard me!
You threw me into the ocean depths,
and I sank down to the heart of the sea.
The mighty waters engulfed me;
I was buried beneath your wild and stormy waves.
Then I said, ‘O Lord, you have driven me from your presence.
Yet I will look once more toward your holy Temple.’

“I sank beneath the waves,
and the waters closed over me.
Seaweed wrapped itself around my head.
I sank down to the very roots of the mountains.
I was imprisoned in the earth,
    whose gates lock shut forever.
But you, O Lord my God,
snatched me from the jaws of death!
As my life was slipping away,
    I remembered the Lord.
And my earnest prayer went out to you
    in your holy Temple.
Those who worship false gods
turn their backs on all God’s mercies.
But I will offer sacrifices to you with songs of praise,
and I will fulfill all my vows.
For my salvation comes from the Lord alone.”

Then the Lord ordered the fish to spit Jonah out onto the beach.

Take a minute to reflect on the following verse as it is read aloud

“Be still, and know that I am God!
I will be honored by every nation.
I will be honored throughout the world.”

(Psalm 46:10)

Luke 23:44-46 (NLT)

By this time it was about noon, and darkness fell across the whole land until three o’clock. The light from the sun was gone. And suddenly, the curtain in the sanctuary of the Temple was torn down the middle. Then Jesus shouted, “Father, I entrust my spirit into your hands!” And with those words he breathed his last.

Matthew 27:51b-54 (NLT)

The earth shook, rocks split apart, and tombs opened. The bodies of many godly men and women who had died were raised from the dead. They left the cemetery after Jesus’ resurrection, went into the holy city of Jerusalem, and appeared to many people.

The Roman officer and the other soldiers at the crucifixion were terrified by the earthquake and all that had happened. They said, “This man truly was the Son of God!”

Nothing But The Blood

What can wash away my sin?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

What can make me whole again?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Oh precious is the flow

That makes me white as snow

No other fount I know

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Nothing can for sin atone

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Not of good that I have done

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

This is all my hope and peace

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

This is all my righteousness

Nothing but the blood of Jesus

Oh Sacred Head Now Wounded

Oh sacred head now wounded, with grief and shame weighed down

Now scornfully surrounded, with thorns Thine only crown

Oh sacred head what glory, what bliss til now was Thine

Yet though despised and gory, I joy to call Thee mine

What Thou my Lord has suffered was all for sinners gain

Mine, mine was the transgression, but Thine the deadly pain

Lo here I fall my Savior, tis I deserve Thy place

Look on me with Thy favor and grant to me Thy grace

Please worship along as the Psalm below is sung.

You may pray out loud or silently, sing your own version of the Psalm, read along, raise your hands, or do whatever else feels appropriate as you bring your praises to God.

Psalm 3

A psalm of David, regarding the time David fled from his son Absalom.

O Lord, I have so many enemies;
    so many are against me.
So many are saying,
“God will never rescue him!” Interlude

But you, O Lord, are a shield around me;
you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.
I cried out to the Lord,
and he answered me from his holy mountain. Interlude

I lay down and slept,
yet I woke up in safety,
for the Lord was watching over me.
I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies
who surround me on every side.

Arise, O Lord!
    Rescue me, my God!
Slap all my enemies in the face!
Shatter the teeth of the wicked!
Victory comes from you, O Lord.
May you bless your people. Interlude

Pause with us for 60 full seconds as we are quiet before the Lord together

Revive Us Again

We praise You oh God for the Son of Thy love

For Jesus who died and is now gone above

Hallelujah, Thine the glory

Hallelujah, amen

Hallelujah, Thine the glory

Revive us again

We praise You oh God for Thy Spirit of Light

Who has shown us our Savior and scattered our night

All glory and praise to the Lamb that was slain

Who has borne all our sins and has cleansed every stain

Revive us again, fill each heart with Thy love

May each soul be rekindled with fire from above

Solid Rock

My hope is built on nothing less than Jesus' blood and righteousness

I dare not trust the sweetest frame, but wholly lean on Jesus' name

On Christ the Solid Rock I stand

All other ground is sinking sand

All other ground is sinking sand

When darkness veils His lovely face, I rest on His unchanging grace

In every high and stormy gale, my anchor holds within the veil

His oath, His covenant, His blood support me in the whelming flood

When all around my soul gives way, He then is all my hope and stay

When He shall come with trumpet sound, oh may I then in Him be found

Dressed in His righteousness alone, faultless to stand before the throne

Unanswered Yet?

(Read as a poem - by F.G. Burroughs)

Unanswered yet? The prayer your lips have pleaded

In agony of heart these many years?

Does faith begin to fail, is hope departing,

And think you all in vain those falling tears?

Say not the Father hath not heard your prayer;

You shall have your desire, sometime, somewhere.

Unanswered yet? Though when you first presented

This one petition at the Father’s throne,

It seemed you could not wait the time of asking,

So urgent was your heart to make it known.

Though years have passed since then, do not despair;

The Lord will answer you, sometime, somewhere.

Unanswered yet? But you are not unheeded;

The promises of God forever stand;

To Him our days and years alike are equal;

“Have faith in God”; it is your Lord’s command.

Hold on to Jacob’s angel and your prayer

Shall bring a blessing down sometime, somewhere.

Unanswered yet? Nay, do not say ungranted;

Perhaps your part is not yet wholly done;

The work began when first your prayer was uttered,

And God will finish what He has begun.

If you will keep the incense burning there,

His glory you shall see, sometime, somewhere.

Unanswered yet? Faith cannot be unanswered;

Her feet were firmly planted on the Rock;

Amid the wildest storm prayer stands undaunted,

Nor quails before the loudest thunder shock.

She knows Omnipotence has heard her prayer,

And cries, “It shall be done,” sometime, somewhere.

Victory in Jesus

I heard an old old story, how a Savior came from glory

How He gave his life on Calvary to save a wretch like me

I heard about His groaning, of His precious blood's atoning

Then I repented of my sins and won the victory

Oh victory in Jesus, my Savior forever

He sought me and bought me with His redeeming blood

He loved me ere I knew Him, and all my love is due Him

He plunged me to victory beneath the cleansing flood

I heard about His healing, of His cleansing power revealing

How He made the lame to walk again and caused the blind to see

And then I cried "Dear Jesus, come and heal my broken spirit"

And somehow Jesus came and brought to me the victory

I heard about a mansion He has built for me in glory

And I heard about the the streets of gold beyond the crystal sea

About the angels singing, and the old redemption story

And some sweet day I'll sing up there the song of victory

What a Friend We Have in Jesus

What a friend we have in Jesus, all our sins and griefs to bear

What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer

Oh what peace we often forfeit, oh what needless pain we bear

All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer

Have we trials and temptations? Is there trouble anywhere?

We should never be discouraged, take it to the Lord in prayer

Can we find a friend so faithful, who will all our sorrows share?

Jesus knows our every weakness, take it to the Lord in prayer

We are skipping the letter X. If you can find a hymn or book of the Bible that starts with X, let me know. : )

You Are Worthy

You are worthy, You are worthy

You are worthy, oh Lord

To receive glory, glory and honor

Glory and honor and power

For You have created, have all things created

You have created all things

And for Your pleasure they are created

For You are worthy, oh Lord

Zephaniah 3:14-17 (NLT)

Sing, O daughter of Zion;
    shout aloud, O Israel!
Be glad and rejoice with all your heart,
    O daughter of Jerusalem!
For the Lord will remove his hand of judgment
and will disperse the armies of your enemy.
And the Lord himself, the King of Israel,
    will live among you!
At last your troubles will be over,
and you will never again fear disaster.
On that day the announcement to Jerusalem will be,
“Cheer up, Zion! Don’t be afraid!
For the Lord your God is living among you.
    He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

Amazing Grace

Amazing grace, how sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now I am found
Was blind, but now I see

‘Twas grace that taught my heart to fear
And grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils and snares
We have already come
‘Twas grace has brought us safe thus far
And grace will lead us home

When we’ve been there ten thousand years
Bright, shining as the sun
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we’ve first begun
